Grads Only Night

The biggest accomplishment of my life has not been my career, my relationships or my travels but my two beautiful children, actually three beautiful daughters.I have a step daughter Michelle who is 18 and my daughters Amanda 9 and Erin 6.And after seeing so many of my dear friends at this 30 year reunion I have a new appreciation of the friendships they have built and are building now in their lives and how they will impact and influence their futures. Some highlights of the last thirty years of my life have been travel to Australia, Budapest and Costa Rica. Owning a well respected Salon and moving to Victoria. The saddest time in my life was the loss of my parents 10 and 6 years ago. No matter how old you are this fact of life is a tough one and I miss them both dearly. What I am looking forward to in the future? - simple - enjoying every moment of my children's lives, my new career - I will probably never retire - and traveling to a few more places on my "do before I die list" such as Ireland and Greece.I am so grateful for this 30 year reunion and I want to thank the organizers for putting it together. This reunion allowed me to reconnect with some very good life long friends who had slipped away and who I now realize truly mean so much to me - I feel blessed we have reconnected. One of the funniest moments at the Reunion for me was the ceremonial passing of the reading glasses while looking to see who was in a small black and white Polaroid of my grade one class. I guess I can not be in denial anymore.

Marlin Heidrick

30 years! Man that went by fast. OK, so I'm living in Calgary the last 15 years and have been driving transport truck for the last 25 years. Never married and no kids that I know of! Pretty boring but the only thing of great importance are the life saving awards I got from St John's Ambulance and another from the Queen. They say I saved the lives of 3 guys in a bad wreck but I thought I was just doing what needed to be done. But hey they threw a dinner both times and who is going to refuse a high classed meal. I hope to run into some of you more than once every 10 years. Good luck to you all and especially you grandparents (old farts).

We all gathered on a Saturday night and it was lots of laughs and hugs as we all remembered old times and old friends.

I'm single (never married, no kids that I've been told about), I live in Winnipeg & have worked for the federal government for about 15 years. I'm with the National
Research Council, we do medical research (mostly heart & brain) using MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), I care for the animals we use (no dogs or cats), we have rats, mice, rabbits &
pigs (yes, real farm pigs 2 blocks from Portage Ave in downtown Winnipeg) and have had guinea pigs, frogs & farrets in the past.

KSS 30 Year Reunion warm up night at the Eldorado

An idea was had, facebooking was done, emails were sent, phonecalls were made, a posting to classmates.com was posted and the results were 18 grads plus others gathered at the Eldorado for a good time in the Kelowna heat. Here are some of the pics.
