Linda DiStefano (Dalley)

Wow it’s been 30 years hard to believe. I have been so out of touch. I was married right out of High school in November of 79. This year will be our 30th anniversary. We spent our first 8 years in Kelowna but my husband being from the Coast wanted to move back to the city. So we’ve been here ever since. I have 4 children, 3 boys & 1 girl. All of whom were born in Kelowna. They are ages 27, 26, 25 & 23. I have 2 that are now married. They all live within about 10 minutes from my house, which I love! My oldest son Jeremy has a beautiful baby girl, Mikaela who is 7 months old now. My 3rd son Michael is also married and just had a beautiful little baby boy, Matteo whom I am pictured with here. My middle son Joey has a significant other they have been together for 3 years now. He is a Marine engineer so he works out a sea for months at a time so they have not tied the knot yet. My youngest is my beautiful daughter Felicia, who also has a significant other of 3 years. So we are now empty nesters and have recently purchased a 37’ fifth wheel that we are hoping to travel as much as possible in the coming years. I stay actively involved with my children as much as I can without driving them crazy! I am a huge hockey fan. My boys all played hockey throughout the years. My 3rd son Michael even spent 3 years playing semi-pro in Italy and that being where my husband was also born it gave us a chance to go & visit which was fabulous.

Denise Swabey (Ryan)

I was married in 1982 to my grad date Gary Swabey so that makes it 27 years now. We have 4 girls, Tianna, Kirbey, and twins, Shanaya and TaLeah. Tianna is now married to Luke Riemer and they have 2 daughters Danai 2 and Kasey 8 months and that makes me a grandma. My family and I have just returned to Kelowna after living in Ireland and am glad to be home. I enjoy family, working out, gardening, quilting, traveling, coaching softball, and watching the the BC Lions and Canucks. My twins are quiting hockey to take up snow boarding so I guess I am dusting off my skis and hittin the hills next year, hope this ol granny doesn't break a hip, oh well nothing a little wineing won't help!

Caryl Horan

I have been back living in Kelowna for the past 18 years after going to university and living on the West Coast for 10 years. I share my home with my 3 daughters, husband Roy and our dog Jayne. In the summer I work as a Landscape Design Consultant helping people plan their gardens around the various perennial and annual plants that thrive in the hot Okanagan "xeriscape" climate. In the winter I write; magazine articles, sports stuff, education briefs and I snowboard with the family up at Big White. I am working on a book with my 12 year old daughter about her pet rat Puff who died of cancer a couple of years ago. My eldest daughter Courtney has the luck to have her locker right across from the "Class of 79" class picture at KSS and, unfortunately for her, she looks just like me! Court will be part of the 2009 grad class - things sure have changed in 30 years. No more bush parties or kidnap breakfasts! Group dinners, group dates and group sleepovers are the norm. I'll have dry ribs, Canada Dry and a bowl of dry roasted almonds at my dry grad thank you very much! See you all in August at the winery! Ha! Photo from left – Caryl, Courtney, Cate, Roy & Cassidy
